Saudi Arabia to host Spanish-style ‘bull run’

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince has new plans regarding the entertainment sector< BBC reported. Mohammed bin Salman has announced the bull run like that of Pamplona in Spanish city San Fermin.

Saudi Arabia’s new young leader is doing his best to reform the conservative Gulf kingdom, this week, he announced the new plans how to strength the entertainment sector and to attract more tourists. Crown Prince intends to open a waxworks museum and host the superstar rapper Jay Z. In addition, Mohammed bin Salman is going to establish a new tradition, a bull run, so, General Entertainment Authority chief Turki al-Sheikh is seeking to generate billions of dollars of revenue.

The attempt to turn Saudi Arabia into a regional entertainment hub is backed by the vocal support of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, so aficionados from all over the world have a hope to come for the bull run and bull fight to Saudi Arabia instead of Spain soon.

However, both his and the country’s image have been tarnished in recent months by the murder of the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Khashoggi – a prominent US-based critic of the government – was killed inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, last October.

Saudi prosecutors have said the journalist was murdered in a “rogue” operation by intelligence agents sent to persuade him to return to the kingdom, and put 11 individuals on trial earlier this month.

But they have rejected reported Western intelligence assessments that the agents acted on the orders of Prince Mohammed, given his control over Saudi Arabia.
