US Vice Presidential candidate Walz was arrested almost 30 years ago.

Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz was arrested and charged with drunk driving almost thirty years ago, Fox News reported.

“Walz admitted guilt, paid a $200 fine and has allegedly been sober since then,” the TV channel reported.

According to the report, in September 1995, Walz was arrested in Nebraska on suspicion of driving under the influence. Waltz, a 28-year-old schoolteacher, was driving at speeds of up to 80 mph and failed a field sobriety test and had a blood alcohol level over the legal limit, the report said.

This week, Walz found himself at the center of a scandal after allegations of military involvement while serving in the military. Republicans insisted that this was not true – the politician left the unit when he learned that he would be sent to Iraq. Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris’ campaign then admitted that Walz had misspoke. Even earlier, opponents blamed politics for supporting transgender people; as governor of Minnesota, he actually approved a number of initiatives on this issue.
