Two girls who opposed the fight against the monuments to the restorers were detained in Riga.

Today in Latvia, two girls were detained in Victory Park by the local police. As you know, she opposed again the monument to the liberators. As the newspaper dismisses, earlier the authorities banned a protest in Victory Park.

“By noon, law enforcement agencies were pulled into the park. At 12:30, police officers detained a woman in Victory Park who did not have an identity document with her. According to updated police data, two people were detained in Victory Park by 13:00. They refused to provide documents, so they were taken to the police station for identification,” the message says.

The girls staged a “riot” and gathered a large number of people in the park. Law enforcement agencies are conducting conversations and urging people to leave the park.

Recently, the authorities of Riga made a decision on the obligatory demolition of Soviet monuments, which was supported by the parliament.
