Former US President Donald Trump wins the election of the Republican candidate in Iowa, gaining 51% of the vote based on the results of processing 99-100% of the counties.

According to data published on the website of the Republican Party in Iowa, Trump received 51% of the vote. In second place is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis with 21.2% of the votes, former permanent representative to the UN Nikki Haley has 19.1% of the votes. Trump leads in all Iowa counties except one – Johnson, where Haley came out on top.

Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who had earlier announced his withdrawal from the presidential race, received 7.7% of the votes in the state.

Ramaswamy, in response to the question of whether he is ready to become Donald Trump’s deputy if he wins the election, said that he would do everything for the good of the States.

The next US presidential election will be held in November 2024. Trump, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, and former US Permanent Representative to the UN Nikki Haley are vying for the Republican nomination. Businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, former US Vice President Mike Pence, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie have already dropped out of the race. Current American leader Joe Biden announced in April that he intends to be re-elected from the Democratic Party.
