The US and Australia will create a joint intelligence center.

The United States and Australia will create a joint intelligence center, follows from a joint statement following the results of the annual AUSMIN talks in Australia.

“The parties have agreed to establish an Australian Joint Intelligence Center within the Australian Defense Intelligence Organization by 2024,” the statement said.


It is noted that the center will contribute to “further strengthening long-term cooperation in the field of intelligence” between the countries, its task will be “to analyze issues of common strategic interest in the Indo-Pacific region.”


The statement also indicated that the US and Australia will seek opportunities to further deepen cooperation with India, Indonesia, the Philippines and South Korea.
