The United States announced that Kennedy Jr. will withdraw from the race for the presidency of the United States.

Independent US presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. intends to announce on Friday his withdrawal from the race for the post of head of state and support Donald Trump, nominated by the Republicans, American journalist and radio show host Alex Jones reported on the social network H., citing sources in the politician’s campaign.

On Tuesday, Nicole Shanahan, Kennedy Jr.’s running mate, said he might withdraw from the election and support Trump. The former US President himself said that he would not mind considering Kennedy Jr. for a position in his administration.

Also, according to Jones, Kennedy Jr. is being considered as a candidate for the post of Attorney General or other positions in the Trump administration.

The US presidential elections will take place on November 5, with current Vice President Kamala Harris and former American leader Donald Trump participating in the Democratic and Republican parties.
