The UK announced an incident with a container ship off the coast of Oman

The UK Maritime Trade Authority (UKMTO) has announced a new incident off the coast of Oman, as a result of which a container ship was hit.

On Saturday, the agency had already reported an incident with a tanker 20 nautical miles (37 kilometers) northeast of Oman.

“The UKMTO has received a report of an incident 25 nautical miles northeast of Oman. It is reported that an unknown projectile hit a container ship, which damaged part of the containers,” the ministry said in a statement on the social network X.

As specified by UKMTO, no fires were recorded. An investigation is underway.
