The Houthis attacked a ship in the Red Sea and two American destroyers.

The Shiite Ansar Allah (Houthis) movement that rules northern Yemen said it attacked the Contship Ono in the Red Sea and two American destroyers.

In a statement, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saria said the movement carried out three operations.

“During one of them, the ship Contship Ono was attacked in the Red Sea,” Saria said.

According to ship tracking service Marinetraffic, the Contship Ono is a Liberian-flagged container ship.
Saria also added that the Houthis attacked two American destroyers.

The ruling Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement in northern Yemen, which controls most of Yemen’s Red Sea coast, previously announced its support for Palestine and its intention to attack any ships associated with Israel, calling on other countries to recall their crews from them and not to approach them in the sea. At the same time, they stated that they do not interfere with freedom of navigation in the region and do not interfere with ships of other countries. Amid the attacks, some companies decided to suspend shipments through the Red Sea.
