Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian are the happiest newlyweds on the planet who jet away for their honeymoon on Saturday. The couple’s daughter Olympia also accompanying her parents on their first trip as a family-of-three.
The tennis star and Reddit founder are wife and husband now, Serena and Alex were wed with an enchanting Beauty And the Beast themed ceremony in New Orleans this week. After that important event, the newlyweds are going to enjoy an ultra-luxe honeymoon, seen jetting out of The Big Easy via private jet Saturday.
The seven-time Wimbledon winner boarded the plane with her internet mogul hubby, who helped his newly-minted wife onto the plane with a gentle hand on her backside while holding daughter in a carrier. The pair welcomed Alexis Olympia Ohanian in September 2017, the honeymoon of her parents will be the first trip for the three-month-old baby girl.
The athlete was dressed down in grey athletic gear, her husband carried Serena’s purse and a backpack as they boarded.
Serena and Alex tied the knot this week, the wedding ceremony took place at the Contemporary Arts Center of New Orleans, with the pair surrounded by the families, friends and the A-listers for the Beauty and the Beast-themed bash. Venus uploaded a photo of Serena’s white dress she wore for the special day.
Alex Ohanian proposed Serena last year, 18 months after the pair met by chance at a cafe in Rome. As Serena recalls, the proposal was as romantic as possible and was just as thoughtfully organized.
‘I came home one day to find my bags already packed for me, and I had absolutely no idea where I was going until I got on the flight,’
Serena told Vogue.
‘Alexis flew me out to Rome, back to the exact table where we’d met. We were both really nervous but also excited to take this huge step. It was such a beautiful moment.’
