Roman Abramovich and his third wife Dasha Zhukova have announced about their split. Their ten-year-long marriage enters into the phase of divorce.
The readers of the New York Post’s Page Six were extremely surprised on Monday when reading the joint statement, published by the couple:
‘After 10 years together, the two of us have made the difficult decision to separate, but we remain close friends, parents and partners in the projects we developed together.’
Darya Zhukova is the third wife to Mr Abramovich, the Russian oligarch is ranked No. 139 on Forbes’ Billionaires List, with a reported $9.1 billion. His wife also has a substantial fortune, her father is the Russian oil magnate who earned his millions during the odious 90s in post-Soviet Russia. Both Dasha and Roman have a major private art collection.

Roman Abramovich got the go-ahead to turn three Upper East Side townhomes into an 18,000-square-foot mega-mansion in 2016. Dasha’s father, the oil tycoon, owns a mansion block in Kensington, west London, where his daughter lived, as well as homes in New York and Moscow.
Despite their split, Dasha Zhukova and Roman Abramovich are staying the responsible and loving parents to their three kids. In the joint statement, they said:
“We are committed to jointly raising our two children. We will also continue to work together as co-founders of the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art in Moscow and the New Holland Island cultural center in Saint Petersburg.”
