Republicans demanded the publication of the US strategy on Ukraine.

Republicans who head a number of committees in the lower house of the US Congress on Wednesday expressed disagreement with the White House’s decision to classify the Ukraine strategy and called on the US administration to publish it immediately.

In early September, media reported that the White House sent its Ukraine strategy to Congress very late, missing the June deadline. The presentation of the strategy was a condition under which Republicans agreed to support Democrats on the issue of providing aid to Ukraine. At the same time, the US administration has classified this strategy.

“After submitting the strategy months after the Congressional deadline, the decision to completely classify it is unacceptable and contradicts critical provisions,” the statement said.

Congress and the American people deserve to understand “how their hard-earned tax dollars are being spent,” Republicans said.
