Police say two people have died following a shooting in Florida.

At least two people were killed and 18 more were hospitalized as a result of a shooting during a Halloween celebration in Florida, the local television channel WFLA, owned by NBC, reports, citing police.

According to the TV channel, the incident occurred on Sunday in the Ybor City area in Tampa, the shooting was preceded by a fight between two groups of people.

“As a result of the shooting, two people died, another 18 people were hospitalized,” the TV channel said in a statement.

The TV channel, citing a video on social networks, reports that the victims were in suits. When the shooting occurred, the police were already on the scene, none of them were injured, the TV channel notes.
