Palestine will hold a large-scale rally in support of the UN General Assembly resolution on Gaza.

Palestinian representatives intend to organize a large-scale event in the coming days in support of the UN General Assembly resolution on the Gaza Strip, the Arab country’s permanent representative to the UN, Riyad Mansour said.

“We will carry out more such events, perhaps expanding the bloc of those who support the implementation of the General Assembly resolution. In the coming days, if there is no ceasefire, we will hold more such events with the participation of even more ambassadors who will speak out in support of the implementation of the resolution General Assembly,” Mansour said.

The diplomat recalled that 121 countries voted for the adoption of this document. “We need to find a place for such a significant number of ambassadors addressing the media. If we find a place and time, and also agree on the details, we can do this,” said the Palestinian permanent representative to the world organization.

At the end of October, the UN General Assembly approved a resolution that calls for the establishment of “an immediate, lasting and sustainable humanitarian truce leading to a cessation of hostilities” between Israel and Palestine. The document was submitted by Jordan on behalf of the Arab countries; more than 40 states co-authored it.

After the UN Security Council failed four times to adopt a resolution on the situation in Gaza, the General Assembly approved the document on this matter. Israel categorically rejected the voting result, while Palestine welcomed it.
