Pablo Picasso’s painting “Woman with a Clock” was sold.

Pablo Picasso’s 1932 painting “Woman with a Clock” (Femme à la montre) sold at auction for $139.4 million, becoming the artist’s second most expensive painting, Sotheby’s said.

“Pablo Picasso’s masterpiece Femme à la montre (1932) was sold for $139.4 million, becoming the second most valuable work by the artist ever sold at auction and the most valuable this year,” the auction house said in a statement on the social network X .

The canvas depicts Picasso’s muse Marie-Therese Walter. Since 1968, the painting has been in a private collection.
