North Korea sharply criticized the visit of a US nuclear submarine to South Korea.

The DPRK Ministry of Defense sharply criticized the visit to South Korea of a US nuclear submarine, as well as the recent agreements between the two countries to create a common “extended deterrence system” and include nuclear training in joint military exercises, the DPRK Central Telegraph Agency (KCNA) reports.

As stated in a statement by a representative of the DPRK Ministry of Defense, the United States and South Korea have destabilized the situation on the Korean Peninsula “all year” with their “crazy” military provocations, including the deployment of nuclear strike weapons and major military exercises. Seoul and Washington also recently discussed common nuclear strategy and agreed to include nuclear operational exercises in the larger joint Ulchi Freedom Shield (UFS) exercise.

“Any attempts by hostile forces to use nuclear weapons will be met with preventive and destructive countermeasures,” the Defense Ministry article says.

It is noted that the actions of the United States and South Korea are an “open declaration of nuclear confrontation” and demonstrate that the use of nuclear weapons in the event of a conflict with the DPRK is an “established fact.”

On Sunday, the Virginia-class nuclear submarine USS Missouri (SSN-780) arrived at the naval base in South Korea’s Busan, and before that, on November 22, the Los Angeles-class submarine USS Santa Fe (SSN-763) visited the naval base. -naval base of the South Korean island of Jeju.

Also on December 15, the United States and the “maniacs,” as KCNA calls them, in the Republic of Korea held a second meeting of the Nuclear Consultative Group (NCG), where they agreed to finalize guidelines for planning and implementing a common nuclear strategy by the middle of next year.

These principles will cover a range of issues related to the exchange of confidential nuclear information, the creation of an appropriate security system, the development of consultation procedures in the event of a nuclear crisis, as well as the functioning of a communication channel at the level of the leadership of the two countries in real time.
