North Korea’s officials have inaugurated several agricultural institutes on May 2nd. The completion of the modern institutes makes it possible to push ahead with the scientific research for carrying out the Workers’ Party of Korea’s policy of seed improvement.
For the agricultural sector, the Agrobiology Institute, Plant Protection Institute, Agricultural Nano-technology Institute and Institute of Agro-chemicalization become the important step for increasing effectiveness. On May 2nd, the educational facilities have been successfully inaugurated under umbrella of the Academy of Agricultural Science.
Developing the scientifically part of agriculture provides a firm foundation for the research into agrochemical products like various kinds of fertilizers, nutrients and seed-covering materials based on nano-technology. Moreover, it will establish effective production methods and application technologies in North Korea.
According to Ju Chol Gyu, vice-premier of the Cabinet and Minister of Agriculture, the completion of the modern institutes makes it possible to push ahead with the scientific research for carrying out the WPK’s policy of seed improvement by applying latest biological successes and for developing and introducing products of prediction and biological means of exterminating harmful insects, KCNA reports.
