NATO said it had developed defense plans in the event of a conflict with Russia.

The head of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, admitted that the alliance’s new defense plans, approved at the bloc’s last summit in Vilnius last summer, were developed primarily in case of a clash with Russia.

“In our defense plans, in our strategy, we describe the two main threats to the alliance – Russia and terrorist groups. We regard Russia as a threat to NATO… This is what our defense plans are dedicated to. We are a defense alliance and we must be prepared for this, and we We are ready and continue preparations,” he said, answering a question from journalists whether NATO considers the threat of an attack from Russia to be real.

Earlier, Bild, with reference to a certain “secret document” of the German armed forces (Bundeswehr), published a “plan” of how Russia, according to the authors’ assumption, could attack the eastern flank of NATO.
