Lithuania has named the probable cause of the DHL plane crash.

The crash of a DHL plane near Vilnius airport is being investigated by criminal police, and not under the article of terrorism, as long as the situation indicates technical problems or negligence, prosecutor of the Lithuanian Prosecutor General’s Office Arturas Urbelis said on Tuesday.

“We have navigation data, there are video recordings, you heard the explanations of the commissioner general and specialists that the incident occurred during landing. So it is reasonable from such a situation (to conclude) that the plane did not fall or something else. Obviously, this the situation indicates that maybe the technical reception capabilities were poor, maybe… some kind of interference appeared on the plane, maybe due to some kind of negligence,” the LRT portal quotes Urbelis as saying (Lithuanian Radio and television).

According to him, the leadership of the Prosecutor General’s Office decided that the investigation will be carried out by the Lithuanian Criminal Police Department, and the investigation into a possible terrorist attack “is not currently underway.
