The leader of the parliamentary faction of the right-wing National Rally party, Marine Le Pen, is leading in polls about voting in the 2027 French presidential election, according to an Ifop poll for Figaro Magazine and Sud Radio.
⠀
“34%-35% of respondents are ready to vote for Le Pen in the first round,” follows from the survey.
⠀
She is well ahead of the left, and her main competitors are former prime ministers of French President Emmanuel Macron: Edouard Philippe and Gabriel Attal.
⠀
“In any scenario, Marine Le Pen comes out on top. Her main competitor is Edouard Philippe. Without the participation of François Hollande, the former prime minister and current mayor of Le Havre receives up to 27% of the votes in the first round. If Gabriel Attal nominates his candidacy, in the absence Edouard Philippe, he will receive 24% of the votes,” the study showed.
⠀
The founder of the Unbowed France party, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, enjoys the greatest support among the left. He can get 10% of the vote, which is not enough to qualify for the second round of elections.
⠀
The survey was conducted online from September 6 to 9 and included 1,204 people, with no margin of error stated.
