The actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers was spotted looking ‘completely out of it’ before being escorted away by security guards at Dublin Airport. According to the eyewitnesses, Jonathan was ‘intoxicated’ so much that he couldn’t make a step. Rhys Meyers is a recovering alcoholic, and Dublin Airport incident showed that the recovery is a long path.
As an eyewitness said, Jonathan was staggering around for a good while,
‘He wasn’t causing any hassle with anyone, he just seemed to be really intoxicated. It was very sad to see him like this.’
Rhys Meyers was seen leaning against a wall for support as he attempted to travel to Vancouver, Irishman was preparing to board a transatlantic flight when he was stopped staggering near the departures gate.

An onlooker said the star appeared dishevelled and under the influence. Despite the actor looked like someone who didn’t have a clue where he was, it could be a preparation for the new role, Rhys Meyers likes such kind of ex-prompts while he working on the new project ‘The Aspern Papers’.
Obviously, Jonathan’s appearance in Dublin may come as a shock to fans, as just last month Jonathan had been spotted busy filming while looking totally healthy in Venice. So far, neither actor nor the Dublin Airport Authority did not comment the Dublin puzzle.

In a message posted on social media account Instagram, Mara said that they are heartbroken and praises Jonathan’s strength and talents as an actor. Mara wrote a long post, in which explains Jonathan’s crisis and forgive that person who uploaded a photo of ‘intoxicated’ Rhys Meyers. In particular, she
‘I feel that whomever took photos of my husband was slightly in the wrong and was concerned for the wrong reasons but … it’s ok. It’s ok. Maybe you have/had a family to feed and need/needed money? I don’t know. We forgive you. He is safe and with his sober living companion and bodyguard to get into a detox closer to home since he was denied hospital help twice in Ireland because of an already two month wait period. Life is life.’
