Iran has suspended negotiations with the United States through Oman.

The process of negotiations with the United States through the mediation of Oman has been suspended due to the tense situation in the Middle East region; after overcoming the current crisis, Tehran will decide whether to return to these negotiations, and, if so, how, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said.

“Previously… there was a process known as the Muscat Process, during which indirect contacts were carried out between Iran and the United States through Oman… Now this process has been suspended due to the special situation in the region. Now we do not see any basis for this dialogue – until we can leave the current crisis behind. Then we will decide whether to return to work or not and (if so, then) how,” the minister said.
