The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has ordered all its employees, including those who have been reduced amid the ongoing partial shutdown of the department, to return to work with their salaries restored, the Federal News Network portal reports.
⠀
“All employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, both released and not released from official duties, must return to the status of working and paid employees, starting from your next scheduled working day,” the portal quotes the internal notification of the department, sent out on Friday evening.
⠀
According to the notice, those employees who will not be able to go to work on time will have to notify their management and receive approval, and those who ignore the order will be disciplined.
⠀
On April 2, the U.S. Senate unanimously supported a bill to partially fund the Department of Homeland Security, with the exception of migration and border Services.

The US government, amid disagreements about measures to combat illegal immigrants, could not agree on the budget of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which provoked a partial suspension of its work in February. The agency’s structure includes, among other things, the transport security agency, which carries out inspection and control at airports.
