In France, a former student stabbed a teacher.

The man who attacked the lyceum in northern France could have previously studied there, BFMTV reports.

“As BFMTV learned from a police source, the suspect is about twenty years old. He is believed to be a former student of the school,” the publication reported.


It is also noted that he is a native of Chechnya. According to BFMTV, the man is on the list of persons posing a threat to state security.


The incident occurred at around 11am at the Gambetta Lyceum in Arras. As a result of the attack, a literature teacher was killed and several other people were injured. According to the publication, the suspect shouted “Allahu Akbar” and he was arrested.

Later it became known that the police had arrested the brother of the criminal. The National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the incident.
