Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton held fantastic month — in August, she could raise for his campaign a huge massive $143 million. According to a release from Democratic campaign, this is the largest amount that Clinton has raised during the presidential race.
Hillary Clinton raised in August $143 million, the Democratic candidate set a record, the fundraising haul came from the combined efforts of Clinton’s official campaign committee and two joint fundraising committees.
These fundraising committees–Hillary Victory Fund and Hillary Action Fund–raise money for the Clinton campaign and Democratic Party committees. The Clinton campaign took in $62 million while $81 million was directed to the Democratic National Committee and various state parties.
A release of the campaign noted that three Clinton committees started September with $152 million cash on hand: for the official Clinton campaign committee ($68 mln) and for the fundraising committees ‘Hillary Victory Fund’ and ‘Hillary Action Fund’ ($84 mln). The statement of Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook thanked all the supporters and donors:
“Thanks to the 2.3 million people who have contributed to our campaign, we are heading into the final two months of the race with the resources we need to organize and mobilize millions of voters across the country.”
