HBO bosses impressed with the success of the Game of Thrones, the 7th season is about to start but there is a lot of plans about spinoffs. The studio is working now with the authors to create a concept for the multiple possible spinoffs of the TV-show.
HBO, the cable channel wants to make fans of the Game of Thrones happier, new projects are in work already. The spokesperson confirmed that HBO bosses will evaluate what the studio has when the scripts are in.
The four hired writers are Carly Wray, Max Borenstein, Jane Goldman, Brian Helgeland. The first two will work individually with Mr Martin, the father of the GoT.
A spinoff to “Game of Thrones” is the sweetest dream of fans and the network’s executives as well. The idea od the creation of spin-offs sounds good to everyone who likes to watch this fantastic saga. For HBO, it will another source of financial inspiration, indeed.
In 2017, HBO started the searches of the authors who are able to develop ideas based on Martin’s novel. The programming president Casey Bloys explained the HBO position regarding spin-offing,
“They’re about to start production soon, but I’m open to it. The guys weren’t opposed to it, but there is no concrete plans or anything like that at this point.”
Season 7 of “Game of Thrones” starts on July 16, the timeline for spinoffs is not available yet.
