North Korea detonates its sixth, most powerful, nuclear test yet

North Korea was successful in its sixth – most powerful – nuclear test on Sunday. The detonation of the hydrogen bomb was conducted amid the escalation of the isolated state’s stand-off with the US and its West allies. Nobody likes Kim Jong-Un as well as the signs of his absolute power.

The H-Bomb is the most dangerous weapon that North Korean leader has at his disposal. The explosion came just hours after the NK claimed to have developed a hydrogen bomb that could be loaded onto the country’s new intercontinental ballistic missile.

However, there was no independent confirmation that the detonation was a hydrogen bomb rather than an atomic device, but North said the bomb was designed to be mounted on its newly developed intercontinental ballistic missile.

Moreover, an official announcement from Pyongyang came a few hours after the seismic agencies around the globe detected a man-made earthquake near the North’s test site. The top officials from Japan, China and South Korea confirmed that an earthquake this time was around 10 times more powerful than the tremor picked up after its last test a year ago with a 5.3 magnitude.

The reaction of the US President was predictable, Donald Trump assured Pyongyang that American weapons are also ready, they are “locked and loaded”. In other words, the NK crisis is not over yet despite all the efforts of the international community.
