China invites more South Korean companies to invest and do business in China, Chinese President Xi Jinping said at a meeting with South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol.
South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol and Chinese President Xi Jinping met on Friday on the sidelines of the APEC summit in Lima.

“The two sides should strengthen high-level contacts, strengthen mutual understanding and trust, and strive to achieve mutual success and achieve common development,” Xi Jinping said, as quoted by the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

He stressed that “China will steadily expand high-level opening up to the outside world and invite more Korean companies to invest and develop business in China.”

“China and South Korea should make joint efforts to protect the international free trade system, maintain the stability and smoothness of global and regional industrial and logistics chains, and carry out more activities to strengthen friendship,” Xi Jinping said.

Yun Seok Yeol, in turn, noted that China is an important engine of global economic growth and has made an important contribution to solving the problems facing the world.

“South Korea regards China as an important cooperation partner and hopes to promote the continuous development of South Korea-PRC strategic partnership and cooperation in accordance with the spirit of mutual respect and the original intention in establishing diplomatic relations, to better respond to common challenges, and promote regional peace and stability,” – Yun Seok Yeol said.
