The UK will begin training Ukrainian pilots this summer, and will also continue to work with other countries on the possible provision of F-16 fighter jets to Kyiv, according to a press release published on the official website of the UK government.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he had arrived in London and planned to hold talks with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

“This summer, we will begin the initial flight phase for groups of Ukrainian pilots to complete basic training,” the message says.

It is noted that this will be an adaptation of the program used by British pilots, the Ukrainians will master piloting skills that they can use to control various types of aircraft.

In addition, the UK government announced that it continues to work with various countries to provide Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets.

“This training goes hand in hand with the UK’s efforts to work with other countries to provide the F16 jets, the fighter jets Ukraine has chosen,” the statement added.
