Borrell told how much total aid Kyiv has received from the EU since last year.

EU diplomacy chief Josep Borrell said that since last year the EU has allocated 80 billion euros ($84.6 billion) in support to Ukraine, of which more than $26 billion is defense funding, which is the largest amount the EU has allocated for such goals.

“We have now provided at least 25 billion euros in military assistance alone. The total amount of support reaches 80 billion euros. This is the largest amount we have ever allocated for such assistance,” Borrell said at a press conference in Kiev, broadcast which was published on the diplomat’s page on the social network X.

On Saturday, Borrell arrived on an unannounced visit to Odessa, and on Sunday he arrived in Kyiv, where he already met with Vladimir Zelensky, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba and the new Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.
