Blinken did not refute Biden’s words about Xi Jinping.

In an interview, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken did not refute the words of his boss, President Joe Biden, who had previously described Chinese President Xi Jinping as a “dictator”, adding that the head of state’s statements reflect the point of view of the entire American leadership.

“The president speaks clearly and frankly. I’ve been working for him for over 20 years, and he speaks on behalf of all of us,” Blinken said on CNN, answering a question about whether he, following his boss Xi Jinping, “a dictator” .

The Secretary of State added that when it comes to China, “it’s absolutely clear that the US will say and do what it doesn’t like, and it will do and say what it doesn’t like” Washington.

Earlier this week, Biden actually called the Chinese president a “dictator” when, commenting on the downing of the Chinese balloon incident, he admitted that his Chinese counterpart was not properly aware of the incident with the downing of the US balloon and was very upset about it because this is “a big embarrassment for dictators.” Biden’s comment came shortly after US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken returned from China.
