Beijing hopes that the United States will move towards China

Beijing hopes that the United States will move towards China and follow the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and mutually beneficial cooperation,  Chinese Ambassador to the United States Xie Fengsaid.

“The development of Sino-American relations has reached a new important milestone, and now it is even more necessary to remember the path traveled and move forward,” Xie Feng said at the a reception dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in the World Anti-Fascist War.

He expressed hope that the American side “will use the wisdom of history, listen to the voice of its people, move towards each other with China and follow the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and mutually beneficial cooperation in order to follow the right path of coexistence between China and the United States in a new era.”
