The 73-year-old singer Barry Manilow was extremely popular in the 70s and 80s but that times his fans couldn’t even imagine that their idol is a gay. The pop idol confirmed his relationship with Garry Kief only now, the couple is officially married only three years, and their relations started in 1977.
The fantastic come out Barry made during his interview to People, explaining that he feared fans wouldn’t like his homosexuality and reject him. Barry explained,
“I’m so private. I always have been. I thought I would be disappointing them [fans] if they knew I was gay. So I never did anything.”
