Alaska Airlines began inspecting Boeing due to a door that came off the plane.

The American airline Alaska Airlines reported that it has begun a preliminary check of its Boeing 737-9 MAX aircraft after an emergency with a fuselage section on one of the sides torn off in flight.

“Alaska Airlines began pre-flight inspections of a fleet of our 737-9 MAX aircraft this weekend,” the airline said in a statement on its website.

After one Boeing 737 MAX 9 lost a section of its fuselage and depressurized its passenger cabin last week, the US Federal Aviation Administration ordered the grounding of 171 of the aircraft for urgent inspections. Alaska Airlines, on whose plane the emergency occurred, was the first to suspend operation of all 65 of its Boeing 737 MAX 9.
