Queen Elizabeth II honoured the outstanding people with a name of an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE). This New Year became unforgettable for the sports stars, some luminaries from the world of fashion and entertainment, among them is Anna Wintour, Victoria Beckham, and The Kinks’ Ray Davies.
Elizabeth II’s honour list included this year Victoria Beckham known as a successful fashion designer, and another person from the world of the fashion industry, American Vogue editor Anna Wintour. She was very pleased with such an attention like a title of dame of an OBE.
Queen made a knight one more outstanding figure in the history of the British music, ‘The Kinks’ Ray Davies received a knighthood from Elizabeth II last week. Sir Davies is one of the most influential figures in the British invasion that reshaped rock ‘n’ roll in the 1960s. Now, Ray is really ‘not like everybody else’.
