The first group of migrants deported from the United States arrived in Colombia.

The early president of Colombia Gustavo Petro reported that citizens of Colombia deported from the United States would be delivered to the country on Tuesday by national aircraft with respect for their dignity and without handcuffs.
⠀
The Boeing 737-700 plane, on which there were 205 migrants, landed at seven in the morning local time. According to the newspaper, Citizens of Colombia, after arriving, left the plane and got into the bus, which delivered them to Eldorado International Airport. There they passed the procedure for the migration service of Colombia to enter the country. The publication indicates that media representatives could not talk with migrants because of the request of the Colombia authorities.
⠀
“The plane flew out … at night from the Army BIGGS airfield of the US Army Military air base located … in Texas, and his arrival in Colombia took place today at about 7 a.m.,” the local media reports.
⠀
The President of the country of Gustavo Petro published on his social network X a message dedicated to migrants. It also attaches two photos with migrants located on an airplane.
⠀
“Our citizens come from the United States free, with dignity and not handcuffs. We will develop a plan on loans that will be useful, understandable and cheap for a migrant. Migrant is not a criminal, but a free person,” the president wrote on social networks X.

Flights with illegal immigrants from the United States will arrive in Colombia after a serious crisis in relations, which erupted the day before due to the attempt of the Washington administration to send Columbian citizens in Colombia on military aircraft, as previously done with the Brazilians. Colombia, as reported in the United States, deployed planes that were already in the air, after which Petro allocated his presidential side for these migrants.

US President Donald Trump considered Bogota a violation of obligations to receive his deported citizens, banned the entry into the United States for Colombian officials and members of their families before fulfilling these obligations, and also established an intensified audit for all Colombian citizens on the US border. Two countries threatened the introduction of mutual sanctions on imports, but by the night they published applications for a resolution of the situation.

Trump in his first speech as the 47th President of the United States promised to immediately stop the penetration of illegal immigrants into American territory and begin the extraction of millions of migrants. He also introduced a national emergency regime in connection with the situation on the southern border of the United States.
