Fitton previously said that the Trump administration was preparing to declare a state of emergency and use military assets to carry out deportations.

Mass deportations have become one of the key themes of Trump’s election campaign. During his first term, he already introduced a state of emergency to direct Pentagon funds to build a wall on the border with Mexico.

Trump, who had already served as US President since the 2016 elections, won the presidential election on November 5. He became the first US politician since the 19th century to return to the White House after a 4-year break.
