US President-elect Donald Trump set a record in modern American history for the speed of government formation, making 12 ministerial appointments in 12 days after the election.

According to calculations by David Marchick, dean of the American University School of Business, who specializes in power transitions in the United States, this is five times faster than Joe Biden and four times faster than Trump himself when forming his first cabinet.

“This is either the most efficient transfer of power in history, or a violation of all norms with hasty appointments, without vetting, research and consultation with the Senate,” Marczyk said.
