South Korea accused North Korea of interfering with GPS signals.

The South Korean military has accused North Korea of allegedly interfering with GPS signals for 5 days, claiming that it affected several ships and dozens of civilian aircraft, Yonhap news agency reported, citing South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff Command (JCS).

On November 9, the military announced that North Korea had been jamming GPS signals for the second day, which affected the operation of several ships and dozens of civilian aircraft.

According to the military, on Tuesday North Korea carried out “GPS jamming attacks” for the fifth day in a row.

“Today, in some areas there was a suppression of the GPS signal,” the OKNS claims.

In late May and early June, North Korea allegedly tried to jam GPS signals in the South Korean Yellow Sea.

The action this month is likely related to military training to respond to drones, JCS said.
