The former president of Indonesia is concerned about neocolonialism in the world.

Former Indonesian President Megawati Sukarnoputri said she is concerned that the world continues to face various forms of neo-colonialism.

“Today the world is multipolar, but still characterized by geopolitical battles through the struggle for natural resources and access to markets, battles for economic, financial, technological, military superiority, as well as trade wars,” the ex-president noted.

According to her, today the vision of geopolitics of the first Indonesian President Sukarno, who “fought for a new world order through the reform of the United Nations, which would be committed to creating a world free from various forms of colonialism,” remains especially relevant today.

“Observing the current situation in the world, I am very concerned that the world continues to face various forms of neo-colonialism and geopolitical battles due to the superiority of military power and ignorance of cultural patterns,” Megawati Sukarnoputri said.
