China and Belarus opposed the falsification of the history of World War II.

China and Belarus resolutely oppose any distortion and falsification of the history of World War II, says the joint communiqué of the governments of China and Belarus, published as part of the official visit of Chinese Premier Li Qiang to Belarus.

“Both sides will firmly defend the results of victory in World War II and resolutely oppose any distortion and falsification of the history of World War II,”  the joint communiqué, the text of which was published by the Chinese Foreign Ministry on Friday, said.

The communiqué noted that China and Belarus in 2025 will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the Soviet Union’s Great Patriotic War and “jointly promote a reliable view” of the history of World War II.

The official visit of the Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Qiang to Belarus takes place on August 22-23.
