Hundreds of Los Angeles residents took part in a pro-Palestinian rally.

Hundreds of residents of the American city of Los Angeles in southern California came out on Saturday evening for a pro-Palestinian protest.

In the United States, after a new round of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, large-scale protests are taking place, the vast majority in support of Palestine and a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Demonstrators were reportedly walking towards the popular Beverly Center shopping mall, blocking traffic. Dozens of cars and motorcycles from the local police department kept order. In the end, the demonstration was called illegal and its participants were asked to disperse.

“The group was ordered to cease the rally and peacefully complied,” the LAPD said in a statement.

Earlier this week, a rally in support of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip was held at the Capitol in the American capital Washington. Capitol Police reported arresting about 60 protesters.
