The number of Israeli troops killed since the start of the ground operation against the Palestinian Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip has risen to 78, the Times of Israel reported on Tuesday, citing the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Earlier, the publication reported that the death toll among the Israeli military had reached 70.

“The military reported the death of three more soldiers, they were killed during battles with Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip, thus the number of deaths (Israeli military) since the start of the Israeli ground offensive in late October has reached 78,” the publication said.
