The US has provided information about Israel’s innocence in the attack on the hospital.

US President Joe Biden said that information from the Pentagon regarding the strike on the Al-Ahly hospital in the Gaza Strip shows that Israel was not involved in the incident.

White House press pool reporters asked Biden why he was convinced that Israel was not behind the attack in Gaza. “The data that was provided to me by my Ministry of Defense,” the president said.

Al-Ahly Baptist Hospital in the Gaza Strip was hit on Tuesday. Gaza’s health ministry said 471 people were killed and more than 300 were injured, most of them women and children. Palestinians and Israelis blamed each other for the attack, with the Palestinian Foreign Ministry saying the attack was carried out by Israeli planes and the Israeli army saying the hospital was hit by a rocket launched unsuccessfully by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group.
