The President of Argentina ruled out sending weapons to Ukraine.

Argentina and Latin American countries are not considering sending weapons to Ukraine, said President of this country Alberto Fernandez during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who is in Argentina on an official visit.

“Argentina and Latin America are not going to, they are not considering sending weapons either to Ukraine or to another conflict zone,” the head of state said.

Brazilian newspaper Folha reported this week, citing army and government sources, that Brazilian President Luiz Inácio da Silva had also turned down a request from the German government for ammunition for Leopard tanks in order to maintain neutrality.

According to media reports, earlier the head of the US Southern Command, General Laura Richardson, said that the United States is working with nine Latin American countries to transfer their Russian weapons to Ukraine in exchange for supplies of American equipment.
