One hundred thousand Muscovites voted for the name of the square near the US Embassy

The Active Citizen website reports that more than 100,000 Muscovites voted for the name of the square near the US Embassy. At the moment, the “Square of the Defenders of Donbass” is the leader of all.

This Monday, voting started within the framework of the Active Citizen project for the name of the square near the US Embassy. Citizens can choose one of the options: “Square of the Defenders of Donbass”, “Square of the Donetsk People’s Republic” (if this option is chosen, a square or street will be selected to give the name in honor of the Luhansk People’s Republic) or “Square of the Hero of Russia Vladimir Zhoga”

“Citizens voted in total: 100,005. Distribution of answers: 50 percent – the square of the Defenders of Donbass, 16 percent – the square of the Donetsk People’s Republic, 12 percent – the square of Hero of Russia Zhoga Vladimir Artemovich, 21 percent – this should be decided by specialists,” the voting page says .
