Cuba to showcase products at trade and investment fair in Mexico

Cuba will take part in an exhibition set to be held in Mexico from March 4 to March 6. As Prensa Latina reported, the business event will gather at least 70 Cuban firms to showcase their products and services. For Cuban investors, the Mexico exhibition is an opportunity to boost the financial sector on the island.

The exhibition ‘Cuba in Mexico 2020’ will present the best Cuban products and services, told the journalists Miriam Martinez, director of Fairs and Exhibitions of the National Chamber of Commerce. The businessmen are ready to showcase the export lines of the medical-pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry while mining, energy, industry and chemistry are other fields that will showcase their products.

Both countries are seeking to become an ally of companies in closing business deals. Also having greater participation in the Mexican business sector, and not only in the export area but also in the opportunities for investment that turn up in Cuba.

The education, agriculture, computer science, insurance sectors also will be showcased during the Mexico event in March. Culture will be represented by the main firms responsible for the production, dissemination and commercialization of goods and services in the sector.

The ‘Cuba in Mexico 2020’ exhibition is hosted by the Cuban embassy and the Mexican Council of Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology.

As Miriam Martinez added, the Cuban rums, beers, spirits and soft drinks will be presented at the Mexican trade and cooperation event. Other traditional items such as coffee and tobacco, considered the best in the world, also be able for the visitors of the upcoming ‘Cuba in Mexico 2020’.

In her presentation of the exhibition, Ms Martinez stressed that the Cuban delegation will be headed by the president of the National Chamber of Commerce, Antonio Carricarte.
