Queen’s husband, Prince Philip, wasn’t accompanied her to the traditional Christmas service in Sandringham chapel. The 98-year-old man was released from the hospital on Tuesday, The Times of Malta reports.
Prince Philip spent four nights at the hospital, so, the 98-year-old royal wasn’t able to attend the Christmas service together with his wife, Queen.
For the British royal family, church service at Sandringham is very especial. Christmas gathers all generations together, and Queen insists on keeping this old good tradition. The list of those attending is closely watched for signs of Buckingham Palace politics.
On Wednesday, the journalists saw the monarch stepping out of her vehicle without her husband, who always attends the mass when he is in good health.
Christmas ends the ‘bumpy’ year for royal family
