The final season of House of Cards will show the political adventures of Claire – not Frank – Underwood.
Frank Underwood is done, decided Netflix top officials, since the next season the centre of attention will be Claire Underwood’s character. Robin Wright will continue to astound the fans with her brilliant acting, and Ted Sarandos, the chief content officer, has now revealed that the final episodes of the sixth season will be refocused to centre on Ms Wright.
“We are excited to bring closure to fans,”
Mr Sarandos said during a conference on Monday, revealing that the 2,000 people who work on the show will get to return to work next year. The final season will be shorter, with just eight episodes, warned Netflix bosses. At the same time, Netflix wants to launch a House of Cards spin-off, HoC franchise is extremely successful in financial terms.
House of Cards continues without Oscar-winner Kevin Spacey
Spacey was fired after allegations of sexual misconduct on the set of the show and off. Netflix similarly decided not to move forward with a film starring Spacey as Gore Vidal.
