The White House found the joke of Johnny Depp ‘sad’, such a description was made about assassinating the US President as “troubling”. The public place and such kind of joke are not good, and it doesn’t matter about whose assassination it was. The human life is unique.
Johnny Depp said an extremely stupid thing on Glastonbury Festival, the Public Enemy star allowed himself to say about an assassination of Donald Trump. Not good and rather stupid. The White House said in a statement from Capitol Hill:
“I hope that some of Mr Depp’s colleagues will speak out against this type of rhetoric as strongly as they would if his comments were directed to a Democrat elected official.”
The Hollywood star received a rapturous reception during the event at Cineramageddon – a drive-in cinema on the site in Somerset.
“When was the last time an actor assassinated a president? I want to qualify, I am not an actor. I lie for a living.
“However, it has been a while and maybe it is time.”
The United States history has a bloody moment, in 1865, actor John Wilkes Booth assassinated President Abraham Lincoln.
Depp apologised for the ‘bad joke’ about Trump’s assassination
Depp’s joke wasn’t bad, it was just stupid because, in his age, an actor and father-of-two should control himself better. Johnny Depp explained his stupid words passage and apologised for using inappropriate lexicon in an inappropriate place:
“It did not come out as intended, and I intended no malice. I was only trying to amuse, not to harm anyone,”
he said in a statement to People magazine.
However, the US Secret Service said it was aware of Depp’s comments but refused to give its own comment.
