30 rockets were fired at a US military base in eastern Syria.

An American military base near the Al-Omar oil field in the Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor came under rocket fire,  Al Mayadeen TV channel reports.

“Rocket attack was carried out on an American base at the Al-Omar oil field, east of Deir ez-Zor,” the TV channel said in a statement.

It is noted that 30 missiles were fired at the US base; the launch was carried out from Syria.

Since the beginning of the aggravation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the bases of the US leading the international coalition in Iraq, as well as American troops in Syria, have been regularly attacked, for which armed Shiite groups operating in Iraq claim responsibility.

The US military illegally controls territories in eastern and northeastern Syria in the provinces of Deir ez-Zor, Al-Hasakah and Raqqa, where Syria’s largest oil and gas fields are located. Official Damascus has repeatedly called the presence of American troops on its territory occupation and state piracy for the purpose of blatant oil theft.
